AAW was established in 1957 by its founder, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Warith sr.  with the aim of  participating in the development of Arab countries by providing professional Engineering Services.

The firm is mainly established and structured to fulfill the specific needs of national programs related to public utilities, community services, industrial facilities and infrastructure projects.

AAW  has always aspired to achieve its objectives by carefully selecting highly qualified professionals with academic and practical experience. And utilizing the modern technology.

AAW  has now more than 40 years of experience in providing a wide range of consulting services. The firm has proved, along the years, its leading position amongst top international consultants, through the successful completion of many major projects.

Dr. Warith Sr. received his Masters and Doctorate of Science in Environmental Engineering from Harvard University in 1949 and 1951, respectively.

Having served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vice President of Ain Shams University from 1971 to 1976, Dr. Warith Sr., is currently Professor Emeritus of Environmental Engineering. Dr. Warith Sr. is also an expert advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) on Environmental Health, as well as an active senior member of several scientific institutions, professional organizations and research committees. He received many national and international awards in recognition of his own and AAW’s, achievements in the field of Environmental Protection. 

Dr. Warith Jr. received his Masters from University of Michigan in 1984 and his PhD from Oregon University in 1989 in Environmental Engineering.
